1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Smedia Pro LTD, incorporated in the United Kingdom under registration number 15645745, with its registered address at 7 Bell Yard, London, United Kingdom, WC2A 2JR ("Aurora", "we", "us").

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the Aurora VPN service ("Service"), you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and capacity

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your place of residence if higher, and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. The Service is not intended for, and may not be used by, anyone under that age.

3. The Service and your licence

Aurora provides a virtual private network and related privacy tools. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, personal and non-transferable licence to use the Service and our applications for your own lawful personal use.

You may not, and may not permit any third party to: (a) reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the Service except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law; (b) resell, sublicense, rent, lease or otherwise make the Service available to third parties; (c) use the Service to build, train or operate a competing product or service; or (d) remove, obscure or alter any proprietary notices. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time.

4. Your account and security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us promptly at support@auroravpn.org of any unauthorised use or suspected breach of security. We are not liable for any loss arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials.

5. Acceptable use

Your use of the Service is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all laws applicable to you. Violations of the Acceptable Use Policy are violations of these Terms.

6. Subscriptions, payment and auto-renewal

Prices and billing terms are shown to you before you complete your purchase, including the supported payment methods available at checkout. Any introductory or promotional price applies only to the first term; subsequent terms are charged at the standard rate disclosed at checkout.

Where supported by your payment method, your subscription renews automatically at the rate disclosed at checkout until you cancel, so that your protection is not interrupted.

For fixed terms (for example one or two years): at the end of the fixed term your subscription automatically converts to month-to-month renewal at the then-current standard monthly rate, as disclosed at checkout and confirmed in a reminder email; you will be charged on the anniversary date of the end of the term.

We will only change your renewal price at the time of renewal and will give you advance notice of at least 7 days. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time in Account → Subscription; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and you retain access until then.

Payments may be processed by third-party providers depending on the method you choose. Cryptocurrency payments are handled by a third-party crypto payment processor; exchange rates, network fees, processing time and the irreversible nature of cryptocurrency transactions are the processor’s responsibility. Purchases made inside our mobile apps via the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed by Apple or Google under their terms, and the renewal, cancellation and refunds of those purchases are managed in your App Store or Google account.

7. How renewal charges and plan changes work

This section explains the mechanics of renewals, cancellation and plan changes in more detail.

  • Renewal attempts: where your payment method supports recurring charges and auto-renewal is enabled, we attempt the renewal charge shortly before your current term ends. Up to three attempts may be made. If every attempt fails, auto-renewal is switched off and your access ends when the paid term expires. No grace period is provided after that point.
  • Cancelling auto-renewal: you can turn auto-renewal off at any time in Account → Subscription. This stops all future charges but does not refund the period you have already paid for, and your access continues until the end of that paid term.
  • Manual renewal: for payment methods that do not support automatic recurring charges, auto-renewal is unavailable and you may renew your subscription manually before or after it expires.
  • Changing plans: where plan changes are offered, an upgrade takes effect as shown to you at checkout, while a downgrade takes effect from the end of your current paid term.
  • Mistaken or duplicate charges: if you believe you were charged in error or charged twice, contact support@auroravpn.org with the order details (date and time, amount, and proof of the charge). Such cases are handled under our Refund Policy.
  • Access credentials: your subscription link and keys are issued for your own personal use within the concurrent-device limit of your plan (Start 3, Pro 5, Plus 7 devices). If you believe they have been exposed or compromised, you can ask support to reset your devices and reissue your subscription link.

8. Refunds

Eligible purchases are covered by the money-back guarantee and statutory rights described in our Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it for eligibility, exclusions and how to request a refund.

8a. Referral program

Where we offer a referral program, the following terms apply:

  • The reward (+7 days of subscription for both the referrer and the referred friend) is granted only after the referred friend’s first paid subscription and after the 14-day refund window has elapsed; no reward is granted if the purchase is refunded or cancelled within that period.
  • One reward per referred friend, counted only on their first paid subscription. Self-referral and any other abuse (fake accounts, manipulation) void the rewards.
  • Bonus days have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for money, and act only as an extension of a subscription.
  • Aurora may modify or end the program, and may void rewards, where abuse is detected.
  • Purchases made through the App Store / Google Play and third-party resellers may not be eligible (store rules).

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that it will meet your requirements. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aurora and its officers, employees and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or business, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you actually paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Aurora and its officers, employees and suppliers from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately and without prior notice if you breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Where termination results from your violation of these Terms, no refund will be provided. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including liability, indemnity and governing law) will survive.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will notify you by email and/or in the Service at least 14 days before they take effect, except where a shorter period is required by law or to address a security or legal issue. Changes are not applied retroactively. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and dispute resolution

Except as set out below, these Terms are governed by English law, and the courts of the United Kingdom will have jurisdiction over any dispute.

If you are a resident of the United States, you and Aurora agree that any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its applicable rules, on an individual basis only, and not as a class, collective or representative action. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to support@auroravpn.org within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.

Nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence, which take precedence where they apply.

15. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure). You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. For any questions about these Terms, contact us at support@auroravpn.org.
